The Georgian under-17 national team played a friendly game against the Armenian under-18 side on 1 March at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium. The visitors dominated the opening period and took the load on 8 minutes through Erik Petrosyan.
The Georgians managed to turn the game around in the second half through a Levan Kharabadze brace on 41 and 60minutes, a 45th minute Giorgi Chakvetadze penalty, and a further goal by Zurab Davitashvili in the 75th minute. Notably, this was the 15-year-old Davitashvili’s debut for the team that is 2 years above his age group.
Vasil Maisuradze’s team will once again face the Armenian’s on 3 March at the Meskhi Stadium (kick-off: 14:00) for another friendly game.
