Georgian match officials took charge of the under-21 European Championship qualifying game between Malta and Montenegro on 23 March. The Georgian refereeing team, which was headed by Giorgi Kruashvili, and also included assistant referees Davit Chigogidze and Besik Chichinadze, as well as the fourth official Lasha silagava, received a high mark of 8.4 from the Slovak match observer.
A friendly match in Armenia was also officiated by a Georgian refereeing team. Giorgi Vadachkoria, Zaza Menteshashvili and Zaza Pipia took charge of the home side’s encounter with Belarus.
High marks were also handed out to Georgian referees for their work at the under-17 European Championship elite qualifying round games that recently took place in Tbilisi. Assistant referee Giorgi Elikashvili and fourth official Giorgi Vadachkoria received a mark of 8.4 in all three games. Notably, FIFA assistant referee Levan Varamishvili has been called up to officiate at the under-17 European Championship final round, which will take place in Azerbaijan.
