The Georgian Football Federation has donated a sum of 100,000 GEL to the #stopcov fund to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The aforementioned fund forms a part of the platform that was established at the initiative of the prime minister of Georgia to tackle the challenges presented by the epidemic in Georgia. Coordinated by the Business Ombudsman Apparatus and the private sector, it directs funds in accordance with the identified needs.

The Georgian Football Federation announced its intention to donate funds towards the efforts to fight the pandemic on 13 March, as well as pledging to make a GFF-owned hotel and other infrastructure available for the purposes of setting up quarantine zones.
