The Georgian under-21 national football team hosted San Marino at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium as part of the European Championship qualifying campaign. Gia Geguchadze’s debut as the head coach of the Georgian under-21 side proved to be successful, with his team winning 4:0. Giorgi Kharaishvili’s splendid strike opened the scoring on 10 minutes. Forward Nika Kacharava then converted a penalty kick which he himself had earned in the 33rd minute. Kacharava doubled his goal tally early in the second half, and substitute Levan Shengelia had the final say on 81 minutes, converting Roman Chanturia’s pass to complete the scoring.
