The Georgian national football team has held its first open training session under the new head coach Vladimir Weiss. The training session took place at FC Zestaponi’s training base at the Tbilisi Sea, and was attended by media representatives, as well as the Georgian Football Federation president Levan Kobiashvili. The morning session lasted one hour. Vladimir Weiss’s players will train twice every day until the end of the week. Defender Solomon Kverkvelia did not participate in the most recent training session due to a light injury, and is training individually at this stage.

A total of 19 players took part in today’s open training session. Later tonight, Vladimir Weiss will be attending the under-21 national team’s game against San Marino, after which he will add several young players to his senior squad. Starting tomorrow, the Georgian national team will train with a full squad.
