The David Petriashvili Winter Cup will take place in a new format in 2020. The New Batumi Sports Palace will stage a legends tournament on 19 January. Along with hosts Georgia, fans will see teams from Spain, Ukraine, Turkey, UEFA and FIFA compete for the main prize. The traditional tournament attracts distinguished former players from different generations.
The teams have been divided into the following groups:
Group A – Spain, Ukraine, Turkey
Group B – Georgia, UEFA, FIFA
The legends tournament of the Winter Cup will take place for the fourth time this year. The past editions were won by Georgia (twice) and Turkey.
Parallel to the legends tournament, the New Batumi Sports Palace will stage an under-15 tournament on 18-19 January.
Tickets for the 2020 Winter Cup can be purchased online on tkt.ge from 14 January, and at the New Batumi Sports Palace box office from 18 January. The tournament ticket costs 2 GEL, and is valid for all matches of the competition.
